Live in the End. Powerful words from perhaps the greatest mystic and spiritual teacher of the twentieth century. His name was Neville Lancelot Goddard. (February 19, 1905 – October 1, 1972)
Neville was known to study his Bible for several hours a day. In addition to his Bible, he used his copy of Strong’s Concordance to discover the original and alternative meanings of many Bible passages from both the New and Old Testament. Combined with his own personal Mystical experiences, Neville made the astonishing discovery that the Bible is not a document that has anything to do with historical figures or historical facts.
He reminds us constantly that the Bible is a mystical Drama. It is not secular history, but rather, salvation history. According to Neville, we (me and you) are the central figures of the Bibles’ stories. Because of this, the Bible is a book that teaches us of our own divine nature and the way to realize God within ourselves.
As we learn to identify ourselves with the Christ from the Bible we discover our divine heritage including the unbelievable power of our Imagination. Perhaps Neville’s greatest discovery was that Imagining creates reality. Because of this peculiar fact, Neville admonishes us to “Live in the End” by imagining all things as we desire them to be…NOW.
In his “Live in the End” lecture from July of 1968, Neville asks us: “How would you see the World if things were as you desired them to be?”
Can You Imagine What it Would Be Like If Your Dreams Were This Very Moment…A Reality?
Important points to remember from Neville:
- We cannot separate man from God, therefore we are one with God.
- With God, all things are possible.
- Therefore with Man, all things are possible.
- Imagining creates reality.
Neville’s inspired interpretations of the Bible open up its’ true meaning and lead us to a higher plateau of understanding. When truly understood, it changes our lives because we learn once and for all that…
“Man is all imagination and God is Man and exists in us and we in him.” –
